English Language Challenges
Finally, this is the last post of the semester (and ever). It's been a long academic year so I'm glad this is over. This curse in specific I've always tried to take it because since ever I have loved the langague, I even thought in studying it at USACh. But well, I ended up studying architecture 😂
So, as my 6th semester at university I can say my language was really in a nosedive. I didn't curse any other english level because I did well in the test when you sing up in the FAU. And it's not like it was hard for me to learn english, it has to do with the lost of the practice of it. In school I had english twice a week and I think I had a better level back then. I also think english is important in the university because it opens new realities and can expand the knowledge of the discipline.
I think blogs help us to improve our coherence in english grammar and to learn new words. But I sometimes think this can be a boring task, I think another way of improving our grammar like reading texts or making pairs for the semester to write something more interesting or more related to what we study could be inteesting. In my school our teachers gave us books to read in english, that would be a nice way to keep up with the language. I feel that this time I've been in the university I've lost the ability to speak properly the idiom, in spite of the fact that I'm always singing songs in english. But I feel taht when I want to communicate with someone I have to be really concentrated, and in the opposite I feel that my writting is really well. That's something I have progress.
So, apart from using english at this curse, I had a curse last semester called Interventions in the Public Space that was imparted in english. I really loved that curse because it showed quite interesting things that architects an designers make in the cities, and as I was inerested in learning that, I wanted to know more. Other aspects of my life that involve english are when I listen music. I've always listened english music, I remember that when MTV was a popular channel I watched it all day and my favorite part of the day was the MTV top 10 where they showed My Chemical Romance's I don't love you, I loved that song jaja.
Other times I use english is with my boyfriend, we talk sometimes in english because it's fun. Also I love to speak in english at parties, I feel that with a sip of wine my english is improved jajaja.
I also think that if you do not practice English you lose a lot of practice and English does not improve
